雅思閱讀題型主要有八種,即list of headings,complete the sentences,answer short questions,picture filling,summary,multiple choices,matching,true or false or not given。

Topic:
Describe an activity you do to keep fit.
You should say:
what it is
when you started it
whether you enjoy it
and explain why you think it can help you to keep fit.
sample answer:
Walking is a good form of exercise and requires less physical efforts than any other regular forms of exercise. I walk regularly in the morning to keep my body fit.
I want to talk about one of the most popular forms of exercise - walking. Walking has a wide range of health benefits. It makes the people fit and the most important thing is that the people who walk do not need any external instruments to perform the walk. Moreover, it is convenient to all ages of people. There is no preset speed or distance is set for walking. So, an individual can have the walk after his or necessity. But in some cases when walking is prescribed by a doctor to prevent any specific physical illness or disorder, then you are to follow the prescribed distance to get cured.
Well, I usually take the walk in the early hours of the day and take it every day. I have no physical disorders or any other troubles but I go for the walk to have a grand opening for the day. Usually, on the weekends, I take a break from the walk. You know the weekend nights are too exciting in Singapore streets and thus I cannot get back at home before midnight. If you were me, it would have been tougher for you too to get up at 5.30am for the walk. So, I take the breaks on the weekends. But on the other days, I do not miss the walk and also have formed a team of walkers who accompany me in the early morning. I have two neighbours who are also conscious about their health and thus we three move for the walk in the city street.
The morning walk is helping me to a great extent to maintain my fitness level. I have been walking for around three years and as a result, my weight is under control and the heartbeat follows the regular rhythm while many of my colleagues have gained weight only for their desk job whereas I have been fit as I was in the beginning days of my job. Moreover, the morning walk makes my mind fresh and I feel lucky to breathe in the fresh air. Usually, the air is hot and polluted in the busy hours in this Lion city and I also cannot manage enough spaces to walk speedily. So, I have picked the morning to get the walk. Besides, it gives me the energy to deal all the challenges at my office. Moreover, I can think clearly which I believe is the benefit of walking as it keeps my thoughts cool always.
Describe an activity you do to keep fit.
You should say:
what you do
when you started doing it
how much time you spend doing it
and explain how this activity helps you keep fit.
Well, I’m sure I’m not the only one guilty of owning a gym membership that sits gathering dust in a drawer somewhere. I get my exercise mainly from cycling.
I can’t remember exactly when I started cycling, but it was when I was around 5 or 6 years old. My dad taught me by pushing me down a hill and wishing me luck! There were a few bumps and bruises to begin with, but eventually I was riding all by myself and you know what they say, 'you never forget how to ride a bike'.
I lack the motivation to go to the gym regularly, but I can fit cycling into my daily routine seamlessly. What’s more, I never get bored of being in the saddle. I ride to and from work and sometimes go out for longer rides on my days off. In fact, it’s not unheard of for me to slip on a pair of Lycra shorts and take a 50 or 60 mile jaunt on a weekend.
Cycling is a great way to keep fit as it burns calories and there is less impact on your joints than other sports, such as running. As well as my body, cycling could help my mind. Some people say it helps you sleep longer and more deeply, in addition to reducing stress, all of which can only be a good thing.
1.What do old people in your country do to keep fit?
In recent years, old people in China like dancing in unison in parks or public squares. Dancing makes them both healthy and happy.Another popular way for old people to keep fit is to do moringing exercise in the parks. They usually do some stretches to loosen up, and this helps improve the blood circulation.
2.What kinds of sports are popular in China?
I'd have to say that football's really the most popular sport in China. There are literally millions of crazy football fans. Whenever there's a match on TV between China and another country, you can hear loud cheers and shouts all around the city whenever China scores a goal, and loud groans and moans when the other country scores.
3.Do you think young people should play dangerous sports?
Well, from my point of view, I think young people should be banned from doing dangerous sports. Some young people are risk-seekers, and they are pursuing excitement at the risk of their lives. I feel that such irresponsible behaviour may inflict harm to both the society and their families.
4.What else people can do to keep fit besides sports?
I think for most of us, if we want to keep fit, a healthy diet is a must. It can provide us with rich protein, vitamins and fibre, without which we may easily suffer from different kinds of diseases. For example, people who consume large amount of junk food everyday are very likely to experience obesity, diabetes, or even cancer.
5.How do parents do to make their children like sports?
In my opinion , I believe the best way for parents to encourage their children to do sports is to participate into sports themselves. In this way, parents set a good example for their children, to show them how to play sport games and let them know the benefits and the importance of doing sports.
Describe a person you know who has a healthy lifestyle.
You should say:
who he /she is
how you know this person
what sort of person he/she is
and explain why you think he/she has a healthy lifestyle
Ok then, well, as soon as I saw this topic, I immediately thought of my next door neighbour, who I have to say, must be one of the healthiest people I know, as I'll shortly explain, so he's the person I'm gonna talk about.
And as for how I know him, well, if my memory serves me correctly, the first time we met was actually in the lift of our apartment block, because I had just been taking my dogs out for a walk, and by the looks of it, he had just got back from a run, cos he was in a tracksuit and was sweating a little bit. And when he saw my dogs his face lit up, so he asked if he could stroke them, and that's basically how we got to know each other.
Anyway, moving on to what sort of person he is, well, to put it simply, I'd say that he's a really sociable and friendly guy, which you can probably tell from the example I gave just now of how we met. But the main reason for saying this is that he often invites me, as well as other friends of his, over to his flat for lunch or dinner, which is really nice of him, especially considering the fact that I've never invited him for a meal before, mainly because I'm hopeless at cooking. So I kind of feel a bit guilty about that, even though he keeps telling me not to worry about it, and that also just goes to show what a nice guy he is.
Anyway, with regard to why I think he has a healthy lifestyle, well I suppose the biggest reason would be that he's a real fitness fanatic, you know, he goes for a run literally every morning, rain or shine, and I know this because, on more than one occasion, I've looked out of my living room window and seen him running in the pouring rain, which to me is kind of crazy, but to him it's just normal.
And finally I should also mention the fact that he looks much younger than he really is. You know, I couldn't believe it when he told me how old he was, because I originally thought he was in his early forties or something, but he's actually over fifty, and when I asked him what his secret was for looking so young, he simply said that he always made sure to get at least eight hours of sleep a day. So ever since he told me that, I've tried to develop the same habit myself, although to be honest with you, I'm not succeeding too well so far.
