In the spring of 1904 in Manchester, the son of a miller’s who was named Frederick Henry Royce met a peer who was named Charles Stewart Rolls. Rolls was very interested in Royce’s newly-made car, and then they began their business of making cars, and the company was named after them which was called Rolls Royce.
