應(yīng)用物理學(xué)的申請(qǐng)deadline是每年的1月1號(hào)，物理學(xué)的申請(qǐng)deadline是每年的12月15號(hào)。
申請(qǐng)費(fèi)用是八十美元。申請(qǐng)可使用學(xué)校提供的在線申請(qǐng)Embark完成，需要準(zhǔn)備的材料有：Submit the application form via Embark (be sure to press the 'submit' button to completethe process)Included the application fee or submitted a fee waiver requestUploaded a Statement of Purpose with your applicationRequested test scores be sent directly from the Educational Testing Service to the CaliforniaInstitute of Technology (Institutional Code 4034)Requested an official copy of your transcripts from each college of university attended oruploaded a copy of your transcripts electronically. Do not submit both electronic andpaper.Registered at least three individuals who will submit letters of recommendationIf applicable, submitted additional documents such as abstract, CV, list of publications, etc.沒有網(wǎng)絡(luò)的申請(qǐng)者，可以將材料郵寄到以下地址（但是這樣你就不可以在線看到自己的申請(qǐng)狀態(tài)了）：Graduate Studies OfficeMail Code 230‐87California Institute of TechnologyPasadena, CA 91125在線申請(qǐng)過的，就不要再郵寄申請(qǐng)材料了。他們有兩個(gè)方向是跟物理學(xué)有關(guān)的，一個(gè)是應(yīng)用物理，一個(gè)是物理學(xué)，兩個(gè)專業(yè)都需要完成GRE的subject test，physics。GRE必須是申請(qǐng)時(shí)五年之內(nèi)考的，語言成績是兩年有效期。即使有了語言成績，到學(xué)校時(shí)還是會(huì)被要求參加語言考試，不達(dá)標(biāo)者會(huì)要求參加語言課程。學(xué)校沒有制定考試必須達(dá)到多少的分?jǐn)?shù)線，除了分?jǐn)?shù)高以外，綜合能力，學(xué)科能力，科研能力以及創(chuàng)新能力也是學(xué)校考慮是否錄取的范圍。
