耶魯大學(xué)成立于1887年，其前身是創(chuàng)建于1701年的一所教會學(xué)校，1716年遷至美國康涅狄格州紐黑文市（New Haven），1718年為感謝英國東印度公司官員艾利胡·耶魯?shù)木栀?，更名為耶魯學(xué)院。
