（1）如果是祈使句，用動詞原形（其實這是省略了回主語you）。

如：答Go back to your seat.Open the window, please.（2）如果這個動詞作主語，一般用ing。這時動詞ing叫動名詞，相當于一個名詞。如：Listening to music is my favorite.聽音樂是我的最愛。Seeing is believing.百聞不如一見。

（3）如果這個動詞作主語，也可以用to do。這時不定式也相當于一個名詞。如：To see is to believe.百聞不如一見。Not to grasp firmly is not to grasp at all.抓得不緊等于完全沒抓。
