Social Justice Awards 2022 Spring 大賽正式開啟！
Social Justice Awards是由青少年非營(yíng)利組織Social Justice Watcher (SJW)?所舉辦的寫作、演講與藝術(shù)大賽，旨在通過寫作、演講與藝術(shù)創(chuàng)作，引導(dǎo)青少年關(guān)注社會(huì)不平等現(xiàn)象，促使青年人思考并通過自身行動(dòng)改變社會(huì)。
在前兩屆大賽中，賽事主題分別為席卷全美的弗洛伊德事件（George Floyd Incident), 以及在COVID-19 疫情期間于全球凸顯的亞裔歧視問題（Stop Asian Hate）。我們收到來自中國(guó)、新加坡、美國(guó)、英國(guó)、加拿大、荷蘭、瑞士、日本、泰國(guó)等地區(qū)80多所中學(xué)，超過300名學(xué)生的參賽作品。多位獲獎(jiǎng)?wù)弑慌＝虼髮W(xué)、斯坦福大學(xué)、芝加哥大學(xué)、西北大學(xué)、布朗大學(xué)、康奈爾大學(xué)等世界名校錄取。
2022年春季，大賽新增了演講類別，旨在鼓勵(lì)青少年發(fā)聲，表達(dá)自己對(duì)社會(huì)問題的見解。此次大賽，我們邀請(qǐng)了來自斯坦福大學(xué)、圣母大學(xué)、加州大學(xué)伯克利分校、麥克馬斯特學(xué)院、英國(guó)皇家藝術(shù)學(xué)院、哥倫比亞大學(xué)、羅德島設(shè)計(jì)與藝術(shù)學(xué)院的教授、演講教練、設(shè)計(jì)師與藝術(shù)家擔(dān)任賽事的最終評(píng)審委員。

2022?春季賽事主題??Close the Gender Gap 消弭性別鴻溝
Gender equality is fundamental to the achievement of human rights and is an aspiration that benefits all of society, including girls and women. The goal of gender equality, however, still remains largely out of reach, as illustrated by the recent wave of women's protests against sexual harassment, assault and gender violence (e.g. #MeToo movement). In parallel to calls for increased equality, a wave of mobilisation against gender equality has appeared in the public discourse. Conservative, authoritarian and populist voices in many democracies are now contesting the equal participation of men and women in society under the auspices of a "war on gender ideology." This backlash against women's empowerment carries considerable implications for anti-discrimination laws, policies protecting women against domestic violence, reproductive health（e.g. #Heartbeat Bill in US) and the establishment of gender quotas.
性別平等是實(shí)現(xiàn)人權(quán)平等的基礎(chǔ)，是惠及包括女童和婦女在內(nèi)的全社會(huì)的愿望。然而，性別平等的目標(biāo)在很大程度上仍然遙不可及，近年來女性反對(duì)性騷擾、攻擊和性別暴力的抗議浪潮（例如#MeToo 運(yùn)動(dòng)）就說明了這一點(diǎn)。在呼吁增加平等的同時(shí)，公共話語中出現(xiàn)了反對(duì)性別平等的動(dòng)員浪潮。許多國(guó)家的保守派、威權(quán)主義和民粹主義聲音現(xiàn)在正在“對(duì)性別意識(shí)形態(tài)的戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)”的主持下爭(zhēng)奪男女平等參與社會(huì)。這種對(duì)婦女賦權(quán)的強(qiáng)烈反對(duì)對(duì)反歧視法、保護(hù)婦女免受家庭暴力、生殖健康（例如美國(guó)的#心跳法案）和性別配額的建立產(chǎn)生了重大影響。
This year, we invite young people from all over the world to discuss the gender inequality, think about how we can change people’s ideas through actions. We hope to convey a message to everyone：All Genders are equal.

大賽題目 prompts
1. “One is not born, but rather becomes, a woman.” Simone de Beauvoir, The Second Sex(1949). How about man?
2. How is gender equality linked to other characteristics such as health, wellbeing of the society?
3. What is the role of social media in shaping public views about gender equality?

All candidates must answer one of these questions via?writing, speech?or artwork.
參賽條件 Entry Requirements
任何國(guó)家地區(qū)任何學(xué)校，且年齡在2022年4月1號(hào)提交截止日期時(shí)未超過21歲的青少年均可參加比賽。
Entry is open to students from any country and any school. Candidates must be 21 years old, or younger, on the date of the submission deadline, 1st?April?2022.

獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)設(shè)置 Awards
比賽設(shè)有一等獎(jiǎng)、二等獎(jiǎng)、三等獎(jiǎng)、入圍獎(jiǎng)以及特別大獎(jiǎng)
First Prize, Second Prize, Third Prize，Shortlist for each genre and Grand Prize?.
特別大獎(jiǎng)得主將獲得由?American Scholastic Convention（ASC）提供的美國(guó)頂尖大學(xué)教授科研項(xiàng)目指定課題全額獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金1份。一、二、三等獎(jiǎng)得主也將分別獲得50%、30%、20%的指定課題獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金1份。
參與費(fèi)用 Entry Fee
200人民幣/30美金。所有收入將被用于項(xiàng)目運(yùn)營(yíng)以及其他非盈利性活動(dòng)。

寫作要求 Writing Requirements
● 作品須以英語寫成
● 敘事文或論文（600-2000詞）；詩歌（不超過80行）
● 作品須為原創(chuàng)。如有引用他人作品，參賽者必須包括文中引用以及參考文獻(xiàn)。如發(fā)現(xiàn)有抄襲，參賽者將被立即取消資格。不要在文中包括名字、家庭住址等任何個(gè)人信息。
● The work must be written in English
● Narratives or Essays (600-2000 words); Poetry (no more than 80 lines)
● Participants must complete their work originally. If other’s works are cited, participants must include in-textcitation and bibliography. once the participant is found to plagiarized, he or she will be disqualified directly. Do not include any personal information, such as name, home address, etc

藝術(shù)作品要求 Art Requirements

● 作品須為原創(chuàng)。
● 參賽者可以組成不超過3人的團(tuán)隊(duì)完成作品，或自己獨(dú)自完成。
● 不要包括名字、家庭住址等任何個(gè)人信息
● 參賽者須提交不少于100詞的英文作品陳述
● Works in the form of comic art, design, video, painting and illustration, mixed media, photography, printmaking
● Participants must complete their work originally
● Participants can choose to complete the work in a group no more than 3 people, or they can choose to complete it by oneself
● Do not include any personal information, such as name, home address, etc
●Written reflection in English (artist’s statement) of more than 100 words is required
