北卡羅來(lái)納州立大學(xué)是一所綜合性公立大學(xué)，成立于1887年，占地2,115英畝，校地為政府所撥贈(zèng)。北卡羅來(lái)納州立大學(xué)位于北卡州首府羅利（Raleigh）市內(nèi)，與北卡羅來(lái)納大學(xué)教堂山分校 （University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill）和杜克大學(xué)（Duke University）相鄰，在三校之間又有全美著名的研究三角園區(qū)（Research Triangle Park）。這里不僅科研技術(shù)領(lǐng)先，而且氣候適宜、消費(fèi)水平較低，是居住生活和創(chuàng)業(yè)的良好選擇。
