碩士-軟件工程專業(yè)介紹軟件工程(Software Engineering)的基本概念是指計(jì)算機(jī)軟件開發(fā)和維護(hù)的一門工程學(xué)科。采用工程的概念、原理、技術(shù)和方法來開發(fā)和維護(hù)計(jì)算機(jī)軟件，把經(jīng)過時(shí)間考驗(yàn)而證明正確的管理技術(shù)和當(dāng)前能夠得到的最好的技術(shù)和方法結(jié)合起來，以經(jīng)濟(jì)地開發(fā)出高質(zhì)量的軟件并有效地維護(hù)它。它旨在開發(fā)滿足用戶需求、及時(shí)交付、不超過預(yù)算和無故障的軟件，以質(zhì)量保證為基礎(chǔ)，包括過程、方法和工具三個(gè)要素。就業(yè)前景： 2016年 5 月份美國《金錢》雜志公布了從約 250 種職業(yè)中評(píng)選出的全美 “50 大好差事 ”。結(jié)果軟件工程師力壓 “ 群芳 ”，榮膺 “ 全美最佳差事 ”。軟件工程師之所以在評(píng)選中脫穎而出，主要是由于軟件業(yè)本身具有較強(qiáng)的加薪前景和晉升潛力，8.05 萬美元的平均年薪 —— 幾乎是美國平均工資的兩倍。就讀軟件工程專業(yè)將來的職業(yè)發(fā)展定位基本上就是電腦軟件工程師（其它還包括 軟件開發(fā)人員，軟件系統(tǒng)分析人員，高級(jí)程序員，系統(tǒng)程序員，數(shù)據(jù)庫管理者），根據(jù)美國勞工部預(yù)計(jì)，從 2008 年到 2018 年，美國軟件工程師的就業(yè)市場(chǎng)將擴(kuò)大百分之 31，遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)超過美國就業(yè)增長(zhǎng)的平均預(yù)期。在這 10 年時(shí)間里，預(yù)計(jì)該行業(yè)將增加 295,000 就業(yè)機(jī)會(huì)。而就 2011 年而言，美國總共有大約 130 萬個(gè)電腦軟件工程師。其中大約有 514,800 名應(yīng)用軟件工程師，394,800 名系統(tǒng)軟件工程師。另外還有 426,700 名電腦編程師。國內(nèi)工資水平參考： http://www.shixunban.com/inex.php?m=content&c=inex&a=show&cati=8&i=87

軟件工程專業(yè)發(fā)展史：****大學(xué)開設(shè)軟件工程專業(yè)最早始于九十年代，很多大學(xué)還沒有單獨(dú)開設(shè)軟件工程專業(yè)，但會(huì)在計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)專業(yè)，計(jì)算機(jī)工程專業(yè)以及電子工程專業(yè)上很多的軟件工程課程。當(dāng)然軟件工程，計(jì)算機(jī)工程和計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)專業(yè)并不是完全分離的專業(yè)，會(huì)有很多的重復(fù)部分。如軟件工程專業(yè)開設(shè)在電子和計(jì)算機(jī)工程下面，則會(huì)傾向于強(qiáng)調(diào)硬件方面的研究。如是開設(shè)在計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)下（或者是數(shù)學(xué)和計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)系），則會(huì)強(qiáng)調(diào)軟件研究，教學(xué)導(dǎo)向偏理論化和數(shù)學(xué)化。在全美 TOP108 所 CS 高校中，設(shè)置有細(xì)分方向軟件工程專業(yè)的大概有 70 所左右，而在這 70 所學(xué)校里面軟件工程研究比較強(qiáng)、教授比較牛、學(xué)校對(duì)于軟工投入又比較大的有以下這些學(xué)校： CMU,UIUC,Marylan,OSU,TAMU,Virginia Polytech,Colorao State U,U of Nebraska Lincoln。
