紐卡斯爾大學（Newcastle University），也譯作新堡大學或紐卡索爾大學，是一所位于英格蘭東北部泰恩河畔紐卡斯爾的一流研究型大學。該校創(chuàng)建于1834年，創(chuàng)建之初名為「醫(yī)學與外科學院」(School of Medicine and Surgery)，隨后成為分裂改制前的杜倫大學的另一半部的學院，在1963年根據(jù)國會法案(Act of Parliament)與杜倫大學分別成立各自獨立的學校，正式全名為「泰恩河畔紐卡斯爾大學」(University of Newcastle upon Tyne)。

紐卡斯爾大學是英國著名的羅素大學集團的成員，長久以來被認為是英國最好的二十所大學之一，是英國著名老牌大學之一，其歷史悠久，以擁有歐洲最頂尖的醫(yī)學院著稱。該校無論在醫(yī)學、科學及人文等方面皆相當著名，同時，該校也是英國擁有最多的歐盟研究文件的學校之一。紐卡斯爾大學目前除了泰恩河畔紐卡斯爾本校區(qū)外，在亞洲的馬來西亞以及新加坡分別設立了馬來西亞校區(qū)和新加坡校區(qū)教授部分專業(yè)領域課程。
