火車票可以在異地上車。1、旅客不能按票面指定的日期、車次乘車時，在不延長客票有效期的前提下，可以在開車前辦理一次提前或改晚乘車簽證手續(xù)，團體旅客必須在開車48小時以前辦理。往返票、聯(lián)程票、臥鋪票不辦理改簽。 2、旅客可要求變更高于原票等級的列車或鋪位、座席。辦理時核收變更的票價差額，核收手續(xù)費，不足起碼里程按起碼里程計算。變更低于原票等級的列車、鋪位、座席時不予辦理。旅客中途自行變更低于原票等級的列車、鋪位、座席時，票價差額部分不予退還。

第三十條 旅客須按票面載明的日期、車次、席別乘車，并在票面規(guī)定有效期內到達到站。旅客如在票面指定的日期、車次于中途站上車時，未乘區(qū)間票價不退。旅客可在列車中途停車站下車，也可在車票有效期間恢復旅行，但中途下車后，臥鋪票即行失效。中轉換車和中途下車旅客繼續(xù)旅行時，應先行到車站辦理車票簽證手續(xù)。持直通票的旅客在中轉站要求換乘動車組列車時，補收該區(qū)間的動車組列車票價與原票票價差額。

第三十一條 旅客在乘車途中客票有效期終了，要求繼續(xù)乘車時，應自有效期終了站或最近前方停車站起，另行補票，核收手續(xù)費，定期票可按有效使用至到站。
