1、在簽證面談當(dāng)日，攜帶好F1簽證必備的申請材料及您準(zhǔn)備的所有支持性材料。

2、非申請人不能陪同申請人進(jìn)入簽證申請大廳。簽證面談時，每位申請人都必須單獨(dú)向簽證官證明自己的情況。申請人需要事先做好準(zhǔn)備，以便面談時能夠在沒有親屬或法律代表陪同的情況下單獨(dú)向簽證官說明自己在中國的約束力和此次赴美的旅行目的等。唯一例外的是13歲以下的孩子可以由成年親屬陪同面談。在某些特殊情況下，殘疾人也可以由人陪同，請在面談前幾天將申請人需要有人陪同的原因傳真至(86-10) 8531-3333。

3、到達(dá)相應(yīng)的使領(lǐng)館后請先在外面排隊(duì)，在預(yù)約時間之前等候大約30分鐘。
接受安全檢查—請不要隨身攜帶任何電子產(chǎn)品， 包括手機(jī)。也不要攜帶背包、手提箱、公文包或手推童車等。申請人只能攜帶跟簽證申請有關(guān)的文件。

4、到指定窗口遞交簽證申請表和材料，之后等待指紋掃描和簽證面談。等候時間大約為3個小時左右。

7、穿衣打扮有一定講究。 衣飾是簽證官對你第一印象。盡管很多美國人穿著休閑和隨便，但在一些正式場合，他們還是很注意的。穿著要整潔大方，顏色宜莊重一些，頭發(fā)要梳洗整齊，不要化濃妝。穿戴不要太時髦，要符合自己的學(xué)生身份。有的學(xué)生濃裝艷抹，穿著華麗，讓人覺得：這些學(xué)生申請F(tuán)1簽證，是去追求西方的生活，F(xiàn)1簽證只是去美國的手段和跳板。
學(xué)生穿戴有兩類：第一類： 非常普通，這類一般適合那些剛出校門沒有工作經(jīng)歷、收入的理工科學(xué)生和做研究的文科學(xué)生。
第二類： 衣著考究而得體，顯得有一定社會地位。一般是有工作經(jīng)歷和收入的申請者。有的已經(jīng)結(jié)婚，在事業(yè)方面小有成就，為了升遷和高收入，需要去美國深造。

8、不要用太多的體態(tài)語言。 有的人模仿西方的講話方式，夸張地運(yùn)用表情和動作，以期達(dá)到效果，這是不必要的。注意把握身份，適當(dāng)?shù)赜靡稽c(diǎn)是可以的，但要顯得自然，不要太做作?；顫姷呐⒆?，稍微用一點(diǎn)也是情理之中。一些體態(tài)語言，不是很莊重，盡量要少用。 學(xué)生的表現(xiàn)，不能太前衛(wèi)太西化，讓簽證官認(rèn)為您很適應(yīng)美國的生活方式，不會回國。面試時要求你在言談舉止中要沉穩(wěn)，有學(xué)生氣。 沉穩(wěn)并不是沉悶，舉止大方，表現(xiàn)自己有素質(zhì)、有學(xué)問、有報負(fù)。去美國學(xué)習(xí)的學(xué)生都是有理想的人，都為自己設(shè)定了一個很好的前途。簽證官要求你設(shè)定的前途，應(yīng)該是回國之后的前途。
9、 不要太拘謹(jǐn)或緊張。 學(xué)生表現(xiàn)也不能太小心，唯唯諾諾。讓簽證官覺得你沒有適應(yīng)能力，萬一在美國得不到獎學(xué)金都沒法生活，會給美國社會造成負(fù)擔(dān)。所以這類學(xué)生也是很難得到簽證。切忌在簽證官面前低三下四，或者是表現(xiàn)得局促不安，美國人對弱者不很同情，而是更傾向于尊敬有實(shí)力的人。 切忌過度緊張。稍稍緊張能夠使人注意力集中，處于積極應(yīng)對狀態(tài)。但過度緊張，使簽證官覺得您把一項(xiàng)單純的學(xué)習(xí)變成了人生的重大轉(zhuǎn)折，干系重大，故而特別緊張。有人因?yàn)榫o張，信心不足，英語聽力和口語水平發(fā)揮不出來，答話磕磕拌拌，說不好。有一位學(xué)生面試拒簽后，第二次申請，特別緊張，以致犯了許多錯誤。
這位學(xué)生來到面試窗口，簽證官是一位女士，這位學(xué)生先打了招呼：Good afternoon, Ma''am.
簽證官在對比上次和這次的申請表，忽然問：Why do you change your mind today? （今天你有什么變化嗎？）
這位學(xué)生本來就緊張，現(xiàn)在一下子懵了。不知道是簽證官問什么事，沒敢吱聲。
簽證官以為他沒聽懂或沒聽見，又重復(fù)了一次。
學(xué)生說：In the last time, I was a little nervous...（上一次我有點(diǎn)緊張;; ）
這位學(xué)生英語帶長江流域一帶的方言， ''nervous '' 發(fā)成了'' lervous '' 。
簽證官說：What? 簽證官不明白。
學(xué)生說：Sorry, nervous and there is much noise in the lobby. I didn''t hear the officer''s questions clearly. So, maybe, there was some misunderstanding. （對不起，大廳里太吵了，沒有聽清楚簽證官的問題，存在一些誤解。）
簽證官問：You think it is misunderstanding? （你認(rèn)為是誤解？）
他不知該如何回答。
簽證官有些生氣：You can''t speak English! （你不會說英語?。?br>這位學(xué)生急得不行： Sir...簽證官更覺得有些生氣：You call me sir! （你叫我先生?。?br>學(xué)生更正說：Sorry, Ma''am;(不，是小姐;;)
這位學(xué)生本來英語是可以的,由于太緊張,錯誤連出。

10、即使拒簽也要保持風(fēng)度。 有的申請者被拒簽后吵鬧，這樣做其實(shí)不僅無濟(jì)于事，還會影響形象。可以冷靜地詢問簽證官拒簽的原因是什么，如果是材料不夠齊全的原因，那么可以下次補(bǔ)齊材料。如果簽證官明確表示拒簽，最好是不要與簽證官爭辯。 雖然簽證官的決定無法上訴，但您可以下次設(shè)法提出新的材料，證明自已與中國存在著無法割斷的關(guān)系，從而排除簽證官對自己的懷疑，下次申請獲得簽證。
