而通常來說,“why school”論文是一個(gè)非常直截了當(dāng)?shù)膯栴},寫作時(shí)可以直接解釋你喜歡這個(gè)學(xué)校的哪一點(diǎn)以及為什么。
但是注意,有些“你我心知肚明”的理由,并不適合寫進(jìn)論文里。這里和大家分享一個(gè)反面教材:

在這個(gè)例子中,滿足“師生比低、數(shù)學(xué)系強(qiáng)、且在波士頓周圍”的學(xué)校有很多,比如哈佛大學(xué)、波士頓學(xué)院、東北大學(xué)等,這些理由被看作是沒有針對(duì)性的,放之諸校皆可的一般性特征。
此外,“它讓我有回家的感覺”這句話聽起來不錯(cuò),但其實(shí)沒有任何實(shí)質(zhì)內(nèi)容,也是“發(fā)給哪個(gè)妹妹都可以的”海王語(yǔ)錄。更重要的是,全文沒有提到學(xué)生的目標(biāo)或者興趣。
這三個(gè)buff疊加,可能會(huì)向?qū)W校傳遞出一個(gè)信息:你沒有認(rèn)真研究過這所學(xué)校,而且對(duì)學(xué)校并不是真的感興趣。感覺到“被備胎”的學(xué)校很有可能把你列入候補(bǔ)名單或者直接拒掉。
劃重點(diǎn),我們應(yīng)該避雷的是:
引用學(xué)校的一般數(shù)據(jù),如位置、天氣、規(guī)模、排名等。
